• 40 hours per week
• Dayshift Monday-Friday
• 8:30am-5:00pm
• No weekends or holidays!
• Registered Medical Assistants also qualify for a $2500 sign-on bonus!

Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services, critical and emergency care, including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services, as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Additionally, Memorial Belleville is accredited by the American College of Radiology as a Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008, it has been recognized as a Magnet organization for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital, was recognized with Magnet status in 2018. It offers emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services, and critical care.

Role Purpose

This position supports the clinical care team under the nursing staff's guidance. Responsibilities include assisting with outpatient visits through tasks aligned with practice protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean, prepare, and stock supplies in exam rooms.
• Perform clinical skills such as point-of-care testing and EKGs, and maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Support outpatient encounters by managing patient flow, including scheduling appointments, tests, and lab work, as well as coordinating resources like durable medical equipment.
• Assist in outpatient procedures by setting up instruments, labeling specimens, and providing general support during patient exams.
• Gather patient information, including vital signs and medical histories, and relay important details to the healthcare team promptly.
• This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work alertly and safely is essential.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• <2 years

Licenses & Certifications

• Certification/Registration in Area of Expertise

Preferred Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience
• No supervisor experience required
