Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in a primary care setting. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and ensure a smooth guest experience for our patients.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of an MA program, CPR/BLS certification, and preferred phlebotomy skills. This on-site position offers competitive benefits and opportunities to grow within a patient-centered care model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or MA certification.
• National or state MA certification or registration is preferred/required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date; phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, assist with procedures, and coordinate with labs.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Document patient information and maintain accurate records in the medical chart.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordinating care outside the clinic.
• Record and communicate test results to patients in a timely manner.
• Support outreach to engage patients and maintain supply levels and equipment.
