Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver exceptional patient care and guest experience, acting as both a Medical Receptionist and handling clinical MA responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on accurate documentation and patient interaction.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
• Take vitals and perform blood draws.
• Administer injections and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications per provider order.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests and referrals.
• Process test results and inform patients as directed by the provider.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
