Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine LLC is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our California occupational medicine clinic on a PRN basis. You will support clinicians with clinical and administrative tasks, patient care, and back-office duties.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Compensation starts at $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Verify insurance coverage and process claims.
• Perform basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications.
• Assist with medical procedures, drug testing, and phlebotomy as needed.
• Maintain back office and exam room cleanliness and organization.

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.

Schedule: PRN, as needed (Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturdays 9am-3pm)

Compensation: Starting compensation range is $22.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
• Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
• Verifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claims
• Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
• Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
• Providing patient education and answering patient questions
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
• Follow company policies, procedures, and directives
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
• Assisting with medical procedures as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
