Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine LLC in California is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support clinicians in an occupational medicine clinic. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks, including basic patient care, charting, scheduling, and billing assistance in a fast-paced setting.

We offer a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, a starting pay of $22.00–$24.00 per hour, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow clinically while maintaining strong patient care

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Certification as CMA or RMA preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records
  • Assist with billing and coding tasks
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Verify insurance coverage and process claims
  • Perform basic clinical tasks (vital signs, medications)
  • Assist providers with drug testing and physical evaluations
  • Draw blood and other clinical duties as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in back office and exam rooms
  • Provide patient education and answer questions
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist with medical procedures as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Description
Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation:

Starting compensation range is $22.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
  • Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
  • Verifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claims
  • Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
  • Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
  • Providing patient education and answering patient questions
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and directivesCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
  • Assisting with medical procedures as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
