Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine LLC is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our occupational medicine clinics in California. You will support clinicians, perform both clinical and administrative duties, and help ensure smooth patient flow.

The role is PRN with clinics Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in Sacramento and West Sacramento. Relevant CMA/RMA certification and MA training are preferred, with competitive hourly pay starting at $22.00 to $24.00.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Certification as CMA or RMA preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
  • Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
  • Verifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claims
  • Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
  • Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
  • Providing patient education and answering patient questions
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and directives
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
  • Assisting with medical procedures as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.

Locations:

Will provide coverage to our Sacramento Watt and West Sacramento clinics

Schedule:

PRN, as needed (Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Compensation:

Starting compensation range is $22.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Requirements
