Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support our California occupational medicine clinic. You will perform clinical tasks and handle administrative duties to keep operations smooth and compliant.

The role emphasizes patient care, accurate records, insurance processing, and collaboration with providers in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, daytime position with comprehensive benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • CMA or RMA certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and medications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and good organization.
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling appointments, manage patient records, and assist with billing and coding tasks.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Verify insurance coverage and process claims.
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and administering medications.
  • Assist with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood, and other clinical duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in back office and exam rooms.
  • Provide patient education and answer questions.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
  • Follow company policies and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with medical procedures as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation

Starting compensation range is $22.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
