Job description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a PRN position. The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients for their appointments. Potential candidates should be excellent communicators who excel at developing and maintaining patient relationships.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting physician with patient care
2. Preparing patients for exams or treatment, including taking patient history, vitals, and phlebotomy
3. Documenting patient care accurately and promptly in the medical records system
4. Organizing, stocking, and cleaning rooms, as well as sterilizing instruments
5. Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and performing general administrative tasks

Skills & Requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent, required
2. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program; Certified or Registered MA preferred
3. At least 2 years of experience, OB/GYN experience preferred
4. Phlebotomy experience required; certification preferred
5. Proficiency in keyboarding and experience with electronic medical records
6. Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
7. Rotating weekend coverage and cross-training to support the clinical team
