Role Summary

The Senior Medical Assistant assists physicians and clinicians with patient care in a clinical setting, promoting efficient patient flow and supporting administrative tasks. Adheres to our compliance standards and provides excellent patient support.

Responsibilities
  • Escort patients and prepare exam rooms.
  • Record vital signs and patient information.
  • Assist with exams, procedures, and patient education.
  • Obtain blood specimens and administer injections.
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies.
  • Handle administrative duties such as scheduling and phone calls.
  • Support pre-authorizations and manage patient records.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a medical or nursing assistant.
  • Experience with insurance authorizations and phlebotomy preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Requires physical ability to handle patients, stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs. Exposure to healthcare environment conditions may occur, including communicable diseases and hazardous substances.
