Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a PRN position. The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients during their appointments. Candidates should be excellent communicators who excel at developing and maintaining patient relationships.

Responsibilities Include

• Assisting physicians with patient care
• Preparing patients for exams or treatments, including taking patient history, vital signs, and phlebotomy
• Documenting patient care accurately and promptly in the medical records system
• Organizing, stocking, and cleaning rooms, as well as sterilizing instruments
• Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and performing general administrative tasks

Skills & Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, required
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program - Certified or Registered MA preferred
• At least 2 years of experience, OB/GYN experience preferred
• Phlebotomy experience required; certification preferred
• Proficiency in keyboarding skills and experience with electronic medical records
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
• Rotating weekend coverage and cross-training to support the clinical team
