Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, performing both receptionist duties and clinical tasks.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, drawing blood, administering injections, coordinating with labs, scheduling, and maintaining medical records in accordance with guidelines, while supporting the care team to develop

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and stock exam rooms.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, bandage wounds.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per written order.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Record data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate to patients as directed.
