Job summary

Marathon Health in Florida is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and an exceptional guest experience, acting as both Medical Receptionist and clinical assistant.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, blood draws, injections, preparing rooms, coordinating with labs, front desk duties, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are stocked and cleaned.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, administer injections and bandage wounds as directed.
• Coordinate with contracted labs for additional tests and prepare medications as ordered.
• Perform front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and patient check-in/out.
• Maintain accurate data in medical records and communicate results to patients as directed.
