Job summary

Marathon Health is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our patient-care team at our Greenwood health center. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and create an exceptional guest experience, performing clinical tasks and front-desk duties.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, drawing blood, injections, coordinating tests, and assisting with procedures, while maintaining documentation and supporting ongoing care plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Primary Care as Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; CPR/BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, assist with procedures.
• Record and review health information for the provider as needed.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Process test results and communicate with patients per provider instructions.
