Job summary

Brigham and Women's Harbor Medical Associates in South Weymouth, MA, is hiring a Full-time Medical Assistant to support the Primary Care suite onsite from 9:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. The role emphasizes autonomous clinical support within the care team and 1:1 or 1:2 collaboration with providers, seeing 20+ patients daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting required or preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
• Direct MA experience 1-2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information and manage patient flow.
• Interview patients, prepare examination rooms and equipment.
• Explain treatment procedures and instructions to patients.
• Process insurance forms and coordinate with other departments.
• Collect blood and other specimens; perform phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain immunization inventory and check expiration dates.
• Provide immunizations as applicable under supervision.
• Support departmental quality initiatives and patient safety.
