Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Natick, MA is seeking a 40-hour, full-time Medical Assistant to support a growing, patient-centered primary care team. This on-site role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, and focuses on delivering compassionate patient care and smooth clinical operations.

The ideal candidate will have completed a Medical Assistant training program or 1+ year of MA experience, with MA certification preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
One year of Medical Assistant experience required or preferred.
National MA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT) preferred.
BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and prepare patients for exams and assist in examination rooms.
Take vital signs and record information in the medical record.
Explain procedures, medications, and instructions to patients; provide education materials.
Perform basic office duties and act as liaison with other departments.
Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy if competent.
Maintain inventory and administration of immunizations as applicable.
Adhere to privacy regulations and assist with quality initiatives.
