Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program or an equivalent healthcare education program with clinical training.
• Fewer than six months MA experience requires at least 160 hours of clinical externship or practicum.
• Current BLS certification from AHA, Red Cross, or in-house training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and manages patient flow.
• Assists with injections and procedures as delegated by provider or RN.
• Collects information, vital signs, and documents in EMR.
• Assists with specimen collection and processing; coordinates test results.
• Supports front desk coverage and patient registration as needed.
