Qualifications

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program or a comparable healthcare education program with clinical training.
• Fewer than six months MA experience? must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of clinical externship or equivalent practicum.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED; Medical Terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, manage patient flow and obtain adequate patient information/data.
• Document patient information in EMR per standards.
• Assist with patient preparation for exams and provide psycho-emotional support.
• Administer injections and assist with procedures as delegated by Provider or RN.
• Support front desk and patient registration/scheduling as needed.
• Ensure a safe environment and report equipment issues.
