Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group Specialists in Connecticut Stratford is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, EMT, CNA) for Primary Care. You will provide basic clinical and clerical support, work with physicians, and participate in a high-energy team.

The position includes comprehensive benefits and a career ladder to grow within the MA role. Qualifications include a diploma or CT CNA/EMT, BLS certification, EPIC EMR experience preferred, and at least one year of direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.
• At least 1 year of direct patient care experience is preferred; MA externship helpful; EPIC EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical/Administrative duties: vitals, history taking, screenings, and virtual health.
• Points of care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations, and transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other Hartford HealthCare offices as needed.
