Job summary

Marathon Health in Wauseon, OH is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team and support a primary care physician in delivering high-quality patient care.

The role combines clinical duties with front desk responsibilities to ensure a smooth patient experience and efficient workflow. Candidates should have MA training and CPR/BLS certification, with phlebotomy experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred. MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, referrals, and other care coordination.
• Record data accurately in the medical record and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Contribute to outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
