Job summary

Marathon Health, LLC in Rumford, ME seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to support a primary care team. The role blends clinical duties with front-desk responsibilities to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive guest experience under the physician’s supervision.

You will take vitals, draw blood, give injections, assist procedures, manage tests with contracted labs, and help maintain accurate medical records and supplies. CPR/BLS is required at start date.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required in some states.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred; relevant clinic experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Perform front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, and referrals.
• Document in medical records per guidelines; communicate results via EMR, mail, or phone.
• Engage patients to improve engagement and outreach to eligible groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
