Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Chesterfield, MO. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience within our care model.

Essential duties include taking vitals, drawing blood, administering injections, assisting procedures, and coordinating tests and referrals. Strong front-desk support and accurate documentation are required, with CPR/BLS certification

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review prior medical information and gather updated health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Coordinate patient care plans with the rest of the care team.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/check-out.
