Job summary

Banner Health seeks a Medical Assistant for its Pine, AZ primary care clinic. The role supports clinicians, takes vital signs, prepares patients, and assists with exams and in-office procedures in a fast-paced, patient-focused team.

You will coordinate care, manage referrals and tests, document results for billing, maintain an organized clinic, and ensure safety with proper PPE. Requires MA training, certification, BLS, and strong computer and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exams by taking vitals and documenting chief complaints.
• Assists with exams and minor in-office procedures; performs basic functions like blood pressure, ECG, phlebotomy.
• Coordinates care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling; communicates test results to patients.
• Provides clerical support and ensures accurate medical records and billing information.
• Maintains a clean, safe clinical environment and adheres to PPE and sterilization guidelines.
• Orders supplies and supports medication-related tasks as directed.
• Maintains effective communication with patients and staff, supporting a team-oriented culture.
• Completes onboarding/orientation activities as directed, including simulation training.
• Interacts with providers and staff to prioritize data for patient status changes.
