Job summary

Saint Mary's Medical Group, affiliated with Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support urgent care services in Reno, NV. You will assist physicians, manage appointments and charts, and help patients utilize clinic services while maintaining a positive image of the organization.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or EMT license, English fluency, BLS within 30 days, and

Qualifications

• Six months experience in Urgent Care/Primary Care or direct patient care preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire is required.
• State of Nevada Office Laboratory Assistant License within 90 days of hire outside Cardiology Practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and clerical tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them use clinic services effectively.
• Present a professional, positive image of the organization.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

A minimum of six months experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care physician practice setting and/or direct patient care experience preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or equivalent experience or EMT license preferred.

Fluency in English.

Must have BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.

Office Laboratory Assistant License from the State of Nevada is required within 90 days of hire outside of the Cardiology Practices.
