Job summary

Saint Mary's Medical Group, affiliated with Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, is looking for a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care and clerical duties. The role involves appointment scheduling, chart management, and communicating clinic services to patients while upholding a positive image of the organization.

Requirements include at least six months in urgent or primary care settings, high school diploma, completion of a Medical Assistant program or EMT license,

Qualifications

• Six months of Urgent Care/Primary Care or direct patient care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program and/or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• State of Nevada Office Laboratory Assistant license within 90 days of hire (outside Cardiology).

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and manage charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them utilize clinic services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. A minimum of six months experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care physician practice setting and/or direct patient care experience preferred.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or equivalent experience or EMT license preferred.
4. Fluency in English.
5. Must have BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
6. Office Laboratory Assistant License from the State of Nevada is required within 90 days of hire outside of the Cardiology Practices.
