Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support primary care at the Appleton clinic. You will perform physician-ordered treatments, take vital signs, and document patient care journeys under supervision, ensuring accurate records and a seamless patient experience.

The role emphasizes room preparation, sterile environment maintenance, and efficient clinic workflow, including inventory management and clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Education or experience can substitute for licensure/certification.
• Professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under supervision of a RN or physician; document care journeys.
• Conduct intake interviews, measure vital signs, and record information for patient records.
• Prepare treatment and examination rooms, maintain sterile, organized environment.
• Handle administrative tasks including ordering/stocking supplies and responding to patient inquiries.
• Experience as Medical Assistant, CMA, or LPN is desirable.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• - Support patient healing by accurately executing physician-ordered treatments and essential clinical duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• - Document every patient care journey by conducting thorough intake interviews, accurately measuring vital signs, and meticulously recording information to ensure high-quality, continuous patient records.
• - Ensure operational readiness by proactively preparing treatment and examination rooms, maintaining a sterile, organized, and clean environment for a seamless patient experience.
• - Lead efficient clinic workflow by managing administrative functions, including ordering and stocking vital supplies, and handling essential clerical tasks such as responding to patient inquiries.
• - Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse experience desired.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
