Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy role at AMG Waukesha Primary Care in Waukesha, WI. You will assist physicians and nurses with patient exams and treatments, interview patients for medical history, and help with room preparation and supply stocking.

The position requires BLS within 30 days of hire, a high school diploma or one year of related experience, and preferred certification as MA or LPN.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire is required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient exams, treatments, and clinical duties.
• Interview patients to record medical history and vital signs for charting.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Handle clerical tasks including phone calls, records, and filing.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
• Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What additional requirements you'll need

Expected to work within clinic hours, hours vary 7:00am - 5:15pm based on clinic needs.

Wonderful opportunity for medical students looking for work in their gap year.

Certified MA or LPN preferred.

Phlebotomy experience is necessary for this role.
