Upperline Health is seeking a energetic Medical Assistant to support physicians in the Gainesville, GA clinic. The role involves clinical tasks, patient prep, vitals, x-ray assistance, and administrative duties in a podiatry/orthopedic setting.

Ideal candidates have prior MA experience, familiarity with athenahealth EMR, strong communication, and a collaborative team approach. Travel to surrounding clinics may be required; excellent patient service is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience a plus.
• Clinical care coordination or care management experience ideal.
• Experience assisting geriatric patients preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with Athenahealth EMR preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prep them for the physician.
• Complete exam intake and review medical history.
• Take vitals and document in EMR (Athenahealth).
• Assist physician with x-rays and in exam room as needed.
• Perform daily admin tasks like restocking and cleaning rooms.
• Maintain sterile exam/x-ray rooms and inventory.
• Coordinate patient care and referrals as needed.
• Travel to surrounding clinics to provide support.
