Job summary

Upperline Health Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our physicians in the Riverview clinic. You will be involved in clinical and administrative tasks, including patient intake, charting, X-ray assistance, and room preparation, working under podiatric supervision.

The ideal candidate has podiatry/orthopedic clinic experience, X-ray familiarity, and proficiency with EMR systems (Athena preferred). Excellent communication, customer service, and a reliable work history are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in podiatry or orthopedic clinic.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athena EMR.
• Excellent communication and grammar.
• Exceptional customer service with empathy and professionalism.
• Stable work history and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms, ensuring they are ready for the physician.
• Complete exam intake including medical, social, surgical history and current illness history.
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician.
• Assist physician in podiatric care, including taking and developing x-rays and in-room assistance.
• Perform daily administrative tasks such as stocking exam rooms and disposing of trash.
• Clean and sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after each patient and daily.
• Document required MIPS quality measures.
