Job summary

Upperline Health Florida is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant to support physicians in our Clearwater clinic. You will assist with clinical and administrative tasks, including taking X-rays, charting, and patient intake, while maintaining compassionate patient care.

Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic exposure, strong medical terminology knowledge, and experience with an EMR system (Athena preferred). This is a full-time, on-site role with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience required.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Proficient in medical terminology.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athena EMR.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Complete exam intake including reviewing medical history and current conditions.
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician.
• Take and develop X-rays and assist in the exam room as required.
• Stock exam rooms and dispose of exam room trash daily.
• Clean and sterilize exam and X-ray rooms after each patient visit and at the end of the day.
• Sterilize instruments daily.
• Document and support required MIPS quality measures.
