Job summary

Upperline Health Florida is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support our podiatry/orthopedic clinic in New Port Richey. You will assist physicians with clinical and administrative tasks, prepare patients, review histories, and help with X-ray procedures as needed.

Ideal candidates have prior Medical Assistant experience, podiatry or orthopedic exposure, and strong communication and customer service skills. EMR experience (Athena) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Proficient with Athena EMR or similar EMR systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in clinic with clinical tasks and administrative duties.
• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the visit.
• Review patient history and inputs to support exam and care.
• Assist in taking and developing x-rays as required.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean and sterilized.
• Document accurately and support MOIP quality measures as needed.
