Job summary

Mid America Cancer Care Centers seeks a Medical Assistant to assist physicians with procedures, perform phlebotomy, lab testing, and QA. You will document results in the EMR, prepare slides, and coordinate outside testing as required.

The role requires BLS certification and a valid driver’s license for travel to other clinics; familiarity with safety and privacy policies is essential. Monday–Friday on-site with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• One-year medical assistant experience with venipuncture preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing with QA.
• Prepare slides and handle specimen processing.
• Document results and charge patient services in EMR.
• Prepare for physician review and coordinate outside testing as needed.
• Maintain logs and QA/QC records per regulations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and patient privacy policies.
• Assist in training new staff.
