Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in-office procedures and perform phlebotomy and lab testing with attention to quality control and instrument maintenance.

The role requires at least one year of clinic experience, a Florida driver’s license for travel, and a high school diploma or GED. BLS is mandatory, provided by FCS if needed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician's office; venipuncture preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license required for travel to clinics.
• High school diploma or GED required; must be produced at time of hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire or within 30 days of employment; FCS provides course.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.
