Duson-Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Providers in patient care, ensuring efficient service delivery in a busy clinic. You will perform vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, prepare charts, coordinate referrals, manage EMR data, and assist with procedures.

Strong communication and reliability are essential in this role. The position requires a High School diploma, MA certification preferred, 1–2 years in urgent/primary care, and a valid driver’s license.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certification, strongly preferred.
• At least 1-2 years recent experience in urgent or primary care setting.
• Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
• Must have experience in phlebotomy/venipuncture.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Providers and others to resolve issues.
• Ability to demonstrate reliability and responsiveness to patients, families, and co-workers.

Mansioni

• Assist Providers in patient care to ensure optimal medical service delivery.
• Perform vital signs collection, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and routine immunizations.
• Prepare patient charts, referrals, labs, and DMEs.
• Update EMR with demographics, contact preferences, insurance, and other data.
• Coordinate referrals and scheduling with specialists and external clinics.
• Manage medical supply inventory and pharmacy-related tasks.
• Triage calls and advise on telehealth vs. in-person visits.
• Collaborate with the care team to meet patient health needs.
