VillageMD seeks a Medical Assistant in Houston, TX to support patient care and deliver an exceptional patient experience. You will welcome patients, prepare exam rooms, collect vitals, and assist providers during visits.

The role requires Certified Medical Assistant credentials, phlebotomy experience, and current BLS certification, with 1 year of experience in primary or urgent care preferred. You will participate in patient education, medication instructions, and maintain hygiene and room

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant credential is required.
• BLS certification is required for healthcare providers.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in primary care or urgent care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Welcomes and prepares patients for their appointment and communicates services clearly.
• Performs point-of-care tests, EKGs, phlebotomy and specimen processing.
• Collects vitals, histories and screenings and documents accurately.
• Authorizes prescription refills as directed and maintains clean treatment rooms.
• Provides instructions regarding medications and diet to patients.
• Supports brand marketing and helps maintain patient volume.
