  • Greet and register patients, schedule appointments, process insurance forms, prepare financial records, answer phones and enter ambulatory care charges.
  • Prepare patients for visits and perform limited procedures.
  • Schedule diagnostic tests and consultations.

  • Assist physicians, nurses, medical staff, interdisciplinary team members and support staff.

Job description

  • Ensure efficient flow of patients through the healthcare setting with culturally sensitive care and exceptional customer service
  • Prepare patients for visits and perform limited procedures
  • Schedule diagnostic tests and consultations
  • Maintain patient records and organize clinic and examination rooms
  • Maintain supply and equipment inventory
  • Assist physicians, nurses, medical staff, interdisciplinary team members and support staff
  • Schedule tests, obtain films and reports, and prepare laboratory specimens
  • Assist with special procedures and examinations
  • Coordinate and implement patient-care plans with the healthcare team
  • Record elements of patient history for clinical staff review
  • Submit, call and fax prescriptions and refills to outpatient pharmacies
  • Record completed-procedure data in forms and medical records
  • Maintain medical records and process related forms
  • Maintain examination-room cleanliness, supplies, logs and equipment checks
  • Greet and register patients, schedule appointments, process insurance forms, prepare financial records, answer phones and enter ambulatory care charges
  • Perform simple procedures, vital signs, height, weight and screening procedures, documenting results in medical records
Requirements
