Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Grand Haven site. You will be part of the clinical support team, assisting with patient intake, vital signs, and documentation to help deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role features a 36-hour workweek, day shift, and opportunities for career growth within a large Michigan health system. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program with hands-on clinical skills OR 1 year of MA/EMT/LPN experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days; CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA certifications within 120 days.

Responsibilities

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
