Job summary

Endeavor Health in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant for a full-time, 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some travel. You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, complete registrations, verify insurances, greet patients, and provide front-office support including basic vitals.

Education: high school diploma required; CPR certification; MA certification preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (MA, CCMA, CMA, etc.) preferred but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience in a medical office or related field required; on-the-job training available for those without prior MA training.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments and complete patient registrations.
• Verify insurances and greet patients at check-in/check-out.
• Provide front-office support; document vitals and reason for visit.
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.
