Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago-Lakeview is hiring a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant. The position is full time (40 hours per week) with rotating shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.

Some travel to other locations may be required. You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, register patients, verify insurances, and provide front office support.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; prior medical office experience preferred; on-the-job training provided for those without formal training.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments and verify insurances.
• Complete patient registrations and front office support.
• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight); phlebotomy and injections may be required.
