Endeavor Health in Chicago is hiring a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to support physician practice operations. You will handle front desk tasks, register patients, collect co-pays, schedule appointments, check in/out, and provide basic vitals.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred, CPR certification, one year of medical office experience, and willingness to travel to other locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• CPR certification is required; MA certification is preferred, but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office is required; on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments and complete patient registration.
• Provide front office support and verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight) and assist physician as needed.
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.
