Job summary

Endeavor Health in Bannockburn, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to support front-desk tasks and assist physicians in ambulatory care settings.

Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays, patient registration, and basic vitals. Some phlebotomy and injections may be required; travel to other locations and flexible hours are possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and provide front-office support as needed.
• Schedule appointments and register patients.
• Collect co-payments and verify insurances.
• Check in/out patients and greet them to the exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight).
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.
