Job summary

Endeavor Health in Bannockburn, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet patients, document vitals, and support front desk operations. Some travel to other locations is required and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR-BLS, and at least one year in a medical office. Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required. Training is provided for those new to the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR-BLS certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) preferred but not required.
• At least one year of work experience in a medical office or related field; on-the-job training provided for those without prior MA training.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height and weight.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Phlebotomy and injections as needed based on the specialty.
