Endeavor Health in Lakeview-Chicago Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant. The role supports physicians, answers phones, schedules appointments, collects co-pays, registers patients, and handles front‑office tasks while ensuring smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and answer patient inquiries.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow.
• Collect co-payments and verify/collect insurance information.
• Complete patient registration and update records.
• Provide front office support to the physician practice.
• Check in and check out patients.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
• Location: Lakeview-Chicago Clinic
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
• Hours: 7:00AM - 5:00PM Monday -Friday - rotating - hours increasing to 8:00PM in 2027

What you will do

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification : CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required
• Experience : One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
