Job summary

Endeavor Health in Bannockburn, IL seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to join our team. This role supports the physician practice with front office functions and basic clinical tasks, including phlebotomy if needed.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential. The position offers standard full-time hours, Mon–Fri, with some travel to other locations and flexible hours to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; MA certification preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide front office support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight) as needed
• Assist with phlebotomy and injections if required

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant


• Location: Bannockburn, IL primarily


• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)


• Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm


• Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

• Answer phones


• Schedule appointments

• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice


• Check in and check out patient


• Verify insurances


• Greet patients and escort them to exam room


• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit


• Provide front office support as needed


• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight


• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required


• Certification : CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required


• Experience : One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
