Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant in Lake Forest, IL. The role involves front-desk duties, patient intake, appointment scheduling, and administrative support in a busy physician practice.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification is required, and medical assisting education is preferred. The position may include phlebotomy and injections, with options for full- or part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; graduation from an accredited medical assisting program is preferred but not required.
• Certification: CPR through the American Heart Association is required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; prior medical office experience is preferred. On-the-job training provided for those without prior training.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones.
• Schedule appointments.
• Collect co-pays.
• Complete patient registration.
• Provide front office support to the physician practice.
• Check in and check out patients.
• Verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight).
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Monday through Friday 8a - 5p
• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department need

What you will do:

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments

What you will need:
