Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to provide front office and patient care support on a per diem basis. Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling, check-in/out, and basic clinical tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of medical office experience; MA certification is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of accredited medical assisting program preferred.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience in a medical office required; on-the-job training provided for those without MA experience.

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit

• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem (as needed)
• Hours: 8:30AM-12:30PM as needed

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments

What you will need:

• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
