Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant. The role is full‑time, Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with duties including answering phones, scheduling, registration, invoicing co-pays, and front‑office support. Travel to other sites may be required.

Qualificações

• Graduates of an accredited medical assisting program are preferred but not required.
• Certification: CPR through American Heart Association is required.
• MA certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred but not required.
• Experience: At least 1 year in a medical office; on‑the‑job training provided for non‑MA backgrounds.

• Verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and visit reason.

• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight).
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.

Hourly Pay Range

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 7AM- 5:30PM
• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department need

What You Will Do

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration

What You Will Need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
