Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to join our physician practice. The role involves front-desk responsibilities, patient check-in, appointment scheduling, and basic clinical support.

Hours are typically 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with potential travel to other sites as needed. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and at least one year of healthcare office experience.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through American Heart Association required; MA certification preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field required; on-the-job training provided.

Mansioni

• Answer phones in a medical office.
• Schedule appointments and collect co-payments.
• Complete patient registration and verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room; document vitals and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support and basic vitals, with potential phlebotomy and injections.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
• Location: Evanston, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Hours scheduled 8:30 AM - 5PM
• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department need

What you will do:

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
