Oak Street Health in Gary, Indiana, is seeking a Medical Assistant for an on-site, full-time role. You will gather patient information, take vitals, and support providers to ensure accurate documentation and safe patient care.

The MA will work closely with the care team to maintain smooth clinic operations and patient flow. Responsibilities include vital signs, patient screenings, vaccinations, EMR data entry, and coordinating with specialists as needed.

Qualifications

• State or national MA certification or graduation from an accredited MA program.
• At least 1 year of experience as a medical assistant.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.
• Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple programs; e.g., Gmail, Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets.
• US work authorization.
• Non-English language skills as required by center demographics.

Responsabilités

• Ensure efficient patient flow and take vital signs.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Assist with telephonic patient requests and records sharing.
• Administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests as allowed.
• Process documents into EMR and support care team meetings.
• Handle orders for durable medical equipment.
• Support center lab quality control and infection prevention.
• Other duties as assigned.
