Oak Street Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Medical Assistant to gather medical information, support clinicians, and enhance patient care. MAs will assist with screenings, vaccinations, and data entry into EMR, collaborating with the care team to ensure high-quality, efficient patient visits.

This role requires CA certification or MA program completion, 1 year of MA experience, CPR/BLS, EMR familiarity, and US work authorization.

Qualifikationen

• State or national certification or MA program completion.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• EMR experience
• US work authorization.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer programs (Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel/Sheets).
• Non-English language proficiency per center demographics.

Aufgaben

• Manage efficient patient flow, patient rooming, vital signs, screenings and medication reviews.
• Inventory and stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (lab results, records).
• Administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests as permitted by state regulations.
• Import required documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment.
• Request medical records from external providers as required.
• Conduct routine quality control checks including infection control and equipment checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
