Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program prior to start date/transfer or equivalent Military experience with ability to obtain MA-I prior to start date.
• Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) or Interim MA Certification as required by hire, with MA-C to follow within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Collect data about health status, vital signs, and patient concerns; record data in medical records.
• Coordinate and facilitate care; communicate with team and educate patients and families about services available.
• Instruct patients and families on health plans, preventive care, and compliance with regimens; reinforce health plan education.
• Document patient history and procedures accurately; ensure safety, privacy, and infection control compliance.
• Participate in staff orientation and performance reviews; adhere to dress code and professional standards.

Education

High School Diploma OR GED

Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent Military experience with MA-I eligibility
